After coffee, we drove to the museum where we ate lunch, a wonderful buffet with plenty of delicious cream sauces (note that this is the third time eating today)and laughed some more. We spotted the Google bike cam photographing the grounds while we were there. I hope you'll see me taking photos someday on Google!

Carl Larsson is a Swedish painter and his wife, Karin, was a famous textile artist. They had eight children and created a home filled with whimsy and beautiful art. It was an entertaining tour. We followed this with coffee and cookies (#4) and some more laughs.
We went to the Dalarna Museum (Dalarna is like the county where Solleron is located) to see a textile exhibit. The folk art was so beautiful- fabrics, weavings, knittings, lacework and more. We started the scenic journey home and It wasn't long after that we stopped for coffee and pastries (#5) at a roadside picnic table near a church. We stopped in to see it and compare to the other churches we've seen. All of the churches have had the four hourglasses which makes me laugh every time. This was a small church and was beautiful.

Sara stopped at a favorite spot, a greenhouse where fresh tomatoes and cucumbers are sold. Remember that Solleron has a short growing season and getting fresh garden tomatoes is unexpected. The greenhouse was open but unstaffed, counting on the honor system. The plants were huge, growing a rope from floor to the ceiling, about 10' tall.

We headed back to Solleron around 7:00 and stopped for dinner (#6) at a local restaurant. I had a hamburger and fries- delicious.

I sure hope laughing burns a lot of calories because we've been doing a lot of that. Traveling involves so much more than sight seeing.
