Traveling to Sweden

It is not a short journey to Sweden but after last summer's trip to China, I have a new perspective. We flew to Iceland first. My seat mates were two high school students traveling to Germany. The one in the middle readily admitted she had forgotten her meds at home as she twitched and kept poking at the on-board entertainment system. She was delightful really. I slept most of the way which is a lovely skill to have. The second leg of the journey I sat next to a mother with her well-behaved two year old while I slept. I think I may have boxed them in keeping the two year old from the potty. Oops. Judy, my mom and I all like aisle seats.

We arrived in Stockholm with about 45 minutes to get our luggage, find the tickets for the train and then get to the correct platform. We did it! The train arrived in Mora about four hours later and we were enthusiastically greated by Mats, Karin and Sarah. What a welcome to Sweden! We drove to Mat's home where we are staying in the "grandmother's house". Much love and time went into preparing the home for our arrival and it is cozy and comfortable. Dinner was shared by all of us and we felt right at home.

We ended the evening with a walk and it just left me wanting to see more.

I fell right to sleep when I went to bed and awoke 10 hours later. No jet lag for me!

  1. It's funny when you posted on facebook that you were in Mora and my first thought was, I though you went to Sweden!
